Time to put on your PREDICTing hat and roll up your PREDICTing sleeves, cos it's the PREDICTION CUP!!!
The rules are simple: Each week 2 players FACE OFF in a gladitorial PREDICTION gore-fest. Both make score PREDICTIONs for each premiership game that weekend. Points are scored for predicting the correct outcome (home win, away win, draw), with a bonus for spot-on score predictions. Points are lost for every wrongly predicted goal. Then, by some Excel miracle, a winner is declared, who moves onto the next round of PREDICTION GLORY!!!
Alright, so who wants a piece of tasty PREDICTION PIE???
Here are the games to PREDICT this week:
Arsenal v Everton
Aston Villa v Portsmouth
Bolton v Blackburn
Fulham v Sunderland
Liverpool v Wigan Athletic
Man Utd v West Brom
Middlesbrough v Chelsea
Hull v West Ham
Stoke City v Tottenham

I'm in. Where or how do i send in my predictions?
Excellent! Please email them to me. Once I have the PREDICTIONs from your challenger, I'll post both sets here on the blog, then the results next Monday.
OK, it's Tom vs. Charlotte in this week's PREDICTIONs battle!!!
By the way, here's the devilish scoring system for this fabulous competition of ours:
Points for correct predictions:
Home win: 12 pts
Draw: 14 pts
Away win: 16 pts
Bonus for exact scoreline: 4 pts
Points deducted:
Each goal incorrectly predicted: -2 pts
So, for example, if you predicted a 0-1 away win, the points for the following scorelines would be:
Actual 0-1 = 20 pts (16 pts away win, 4 pt bonus)
Actual 0-3 = 12 pts (16 pts away win, -4 pt for the 2 goal difference)
Actual 2-0 = -6 pts (0 pts for result, -4 and -2 for the goal differences)
