Quote of the day: a tortured metaphor special!

From ESPN.com:
"NEW YORK -- There was a hostage situation inside Arthur Ashe Stadium on Wednesday night. Roger Federer locked the doors, cut the phone lines and wrestled Andy Roddick's highest-caliber tennis to the ground. The problem is that there may not be a ransom amount high enough to free Roddick or any other top player from the rope and duct tape Federer carries in his duffel bag for most of the season."

Sounds kind of like the way Nick "One man blog" Yeung has things wrapped up over here.

C'mon peeps. Let's at least show Nick what we can do, even if Andy Roddick can't get the job done.

he he.....Prodigious though he may be on the blog, Nick is flirting with an important STRATEGIC TRAP. By investing an unsustainable amount of cognitive energy on the blog, and too little on well-calculated transfers, Nick may well be BURNT OUT by the time the PREDICTION CUP rolls around.

Meanwhile, this is a pretty funny segment by young Novak Djokovic:

Pity that a fist-pumping Tiger Tim didn't make the canon of impersonables.....

Geoff - you're sounding a little monomaniacal there. You should be careful: one day this fantasy football game might turn into your own great white whale, which will of course hang heavy around your neck, with terrible consequences for that picture in your attic.

Now let's all laugh at France.
